On this International Civil Aviation Day, we send a warm and special greeting to the executives of the 157 ALTA member companies, whose contributions, participation, exchange of ideas, and collaborative work promote the development of a safer, more efficient, and sustainable aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean. Amadeus and ALTA present the Latin America and the Caribbean Air Transport Competitiveness Index 2022
The number of passengers carried by air fell by more than 90% between March and April 2020 in the region. Few sectors of the economy were as severely affected by the pandemic.

ALTA and XFlight partner to boost aeronautical education in Latin America and Caribbean
The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) and the aviation school based in Argentina and the United States, XFlight, have signed a MOU to promote educational programs aimed at boosting the professional development of Latin American aviation.

Nosso CEO José Ricardo Botelho e nosso Diretor de Safety e Operações Virginio Corrieri visitaram o 1º Centro Integrado de Defesa Aérea e Controle de Tráfego Aéreo (CINDACTA I), órgão militar do Comando da Aeronáutica, sediado em Brasília. Os executivos foram recebidos pelo Coronel Aviador Dan Marshal Freitas, Comandante do CINDACTA I.
 
Encantados de anunciar que firmamos un Memorando de Entendimiento con el IFA Instituto Internacional de Formación Aeronáutica de Costa Rica, centro de enseñanza aeronáutico fundado en 1995 y autorizado por la Dirección General de Aviación Civil DGAC, órgano del estado que regula la actividad aeronáutica de Costa Rica. Tiene su sede principal en la ciudad de Heredia y su sede operacional en el Aeropuerto Internacional Tobías Bolaños de Pavas, en San José de Costa Rica.
