About ALTA
ALTA is a non-profit association made up of the most important civil aviation ecosystem companies operating in the region, including the airlines responsible for more than 80% of air traffic in the region. Our work is to coordinate collaborative efforts to facilitate the development of even safer, cost efficient, profitable and sustainable environment for air transport to develop in the region, with the ultimate goal of generating socioeconomic growth for people in our countries.

40 Years of History Support Us
In 2020 ALTA commemorated 40 years of service to the airline industry and, with it, the right time has come to review, update and strengthen ourselves in the face of the new challenges that the industry would face in the coming years. In a tribute to all those who have been part of the history of the association, we compile ALTA’s historical milestones and the evolution of commercial aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean in an anniversary book.
