Panama, August 5, 2024 - Total Linhas Aéreas S.A. has joined the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) as a new member.

According to data from Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), Total Linhas Aéreas transported 1,347 passengers on charter flights between January and December 2023. Additionally, the airline carried 21.1 thousand tons of cargo and captured 6.4% of the national market share in terms of revenue tonne-kilometers (RTK), making it the fourth largest cargo airline in Brazil.

"We are thrilled to welcome Total Linhas Aéreas as a new member of our association. Brazil is a very dynamic market, and the experience and exchange with Brazilian airlines greatly benefit all ALTA members. Total operates both domestic and international flights, primarily serving businesses and organizations that require customized logistics and transportation solutions. Therefore, they have much to contribute to the working committees and the local and regional initiatives we implement for the industry's benefit and its users," said José Ricardo Botelho, Executive Director and CEO of ALTA.

"When we decided to become an ALTA member, it was due to our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. Being part of ALTA will elevate the company's visibility and trust within the aviation industry. The company expects to continue growing in 2024 by joining ALTA, aiming to strengthen its collaboration network and share best practices in the aviation industry, contributing to the development of air transport in the region.

"Since the end of 2023, with a new economic group and new management, Total Linhas Aéreas has been planning to integrate regions by resuming passenger flights, meeting demand, and boosting socioeconomic development. This commitment aims not only to facilitate the transportation of people but also to promote commercial and social exchange between different locations, thus contributing to growth and progress," emphasized Knop.
