Panama October 18, 2023 – The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is pleased to announce that Rolls-Royce has joined as an Affiliate Member.

Employing 41,800 people across 48 countries, Rolls-Royce develops and delivers complex power and propulsion solutions for safety-critical applications in the air, at sea and on land. Rolls-Royce is established as a major supplier of engines for commercial aviation and a leader in the widebody market.  The airlines market is mostly comprised of their Trent family of engines which has delivered more than 176 million engine flying hours for customers worldwide.

Rolls-Royce is on track to test all their Trent and Business Aviation engines on 100% SAF by the end of 2023.

Rolls-Royce is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions from its operations and facilities by 2030 and ensure all their products will be compatible with net zero operation by 2050.

"Welcoming Rolls-Royce to ALTA members group represents an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with other industry leaders and contribute to the advancement of aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean by working together in pursuing technical and operational solutions that will drive the sustainable and efficient growth," said José Ricardo Botelho, ALTA's CEO.
