The Universidad Tecnológica Nacional - Regional Mar del Plata joins ALTA's Educational Hub to jointly promote training in the aeronautical industry

Panama, July 19, 2024 - The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is proud to announce the joining of a new institution to ALTA's Educational Hub: the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional - Regional Mar del Plata, a higher education institution, state-owned, federally organized and established in Mar del Plata - Argentina in 1999, as one of the regional campuses of UNT created in 1959. Currently, the university has 11 careers, 49 courses and over 10.000 students.

These strategic partnerships allow us to fulfill our mission of making first-class training programs available to all industry executives in one place, as well as facilitating searches for information and access to courses for young people wishing to start a career in aviation,” comments Jose Ricardo Botelho, ALTA's CEO.

Therefore, training the next generation of professionals is essential to ensure sustainable growth, capable of keeping up with the growth in passenger demand in the region, which already exceeds 300 million passengers per year. “In 2019, an important step was taken with the inclusion of aviation in the educational program of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional Regional Mar del Plata. Now, through this partnership, the multiplier effect, the seriousness and commitment provided by ALTA will mean a strategic step for the next generation of professionals in aviation to be trained in the high educational houses”, says Engineer Diego Isacch, Director of Continuing Education UTN - Regional Mar del Plata.
Among the UTN-Regional Mar del Plata educational programs that will be available at ALTA's Educational Hub are:
Course in Administration and Aero-Commercial Management and Course in Administration and Airport Management: These programs provide comprehensive training in key areas such as administration, human resources, customer service, project management, sales management and airport operations, equipping students to perform as leaders in the industry.
Course in Traffic and Check-in Agent: This program provides students with the necessary skills to work as traffic and check-in agents in airlines, focusing on customer service, aeronautical expertise, operational safety and quality management, among other key aspects.
Diploma in Administration and Aero-commercial and Airport Management: This diploma equips professionals for achieving the goals of an aeronautical or airport organization at all levels, providing them with the necessary tools for an efficient and responsible performance.
Diploma in Infrastructure and Air Transport: Aimed at professionals and technicians in the field of architecture and engineering, this diploma program analyzes aspects related to the operation, planning and design of airports and heliports, contributing to the development of the airport industry.
These educational programs are designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the challenges of the industry and excel in a dynamic and competitive work environment.
