ASA – ALTA signed ” Collaboration Agreement for the training of the aeronautical sector in Latin America”
Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA) and the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) signed a Collaboration Agreement for instruction and training, with the aim of providing specialized instruction for professionals in the aeronautical sector in Latin America.

Mexico, November 22, 2021 – Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA) and the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) signed a Collaboration Agreement for instruction and training, with the aim of providing specialized instruction for professionals in the aeronautical sector in Latin America.
Oscar Arguello, General Director of ASA, endorsed the commitment of the entity to transmit the knowledge acquired by ASA over more than 50 years of experience in the national and international aeronautical sector, as well as take advantage of the recognition of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to the International Training Center of ASA (CIIASA), in order to contribute to the development of aviation in the region, to have more and better professionals in the sector who provide certainty, confidence and safety in each of the air operations.
The head of ASA emphasized that, through collaboration between both Organizations, it will be possible to exchange experiences so that knowledge reaches a greater number of people, from different countries, so that the educational offer is imparted and shared to all the countries that are part of ALTA. “Transmitting knowledge and professional experiences, through the constant training of human capital that is part of the aeronautical sector in the region, is the fundamental activity to have new civil aviation leaders in Latin America,” he said.
In his opportunity, José Ricardo Botelho, Executive Director & CEO of ALTA, thanked ASA for its willingness to share its experience and knowledge, while acknowledging the need for new aeronautical professionals that have the instruction according to the new challenges and requirements demanded by aviation in America and the world. Botelho made clear his interest in expanding the collaboration between both Organizations, recognizing that ASA is a benchmark in the Latin American aeronautical sector, which is why, with the signing of the Collaboration Agreement, one of ALTA’s priority objectives is to initiate in 2022 offering “more training opportunities for all members of the Association”.
Botelho said: “We are honored with the signing of this alliance that will allow ALTA to work together with ASA and CIIASA in expanding access to education of excellence for aviation professionals in Latin America and the Caribbean. CIIASA has outstanding certifications that guarantee the experience of its instructors and the quality of its programs and from ALTA we are enthusiastic to work together in promoting specialized-differentiated civil aviation instruction, which boosts the growth and professionalization of those who they work in the sector. Together we will continue to promote constant academic actualization for professionals in this highly specialized industry. I thank ASA and its International Training Center for their trust in ALTA and I am pleased to formally welcome the International Training Center of Airports and Auxiliary Services (CIIASA) as “ALTA Partner”. We strengthen ties to continue working together in favor of aviation in Mexico and the region”.
Accompanied by José Gabriel Tort Flores, Director of Research and Instruction of ASA; Jaime Escobar, Director of Fuels and Airport Charges of ALTA; and Mauricio Arellano Villavicencio, ASA Fuel Director, was signed the ” Collaboration Agreement for the training of the aeronautical sector in Latin America”.
