Dear colleagues,
As a result of our ALTA AGM & Airline Leaders Forum, recently held in Nassau, Bahamas, it was a great pleasure to connect with Abdol Moabery, CEO from GA Telesis today, an ALTA member company with an inspiring level of enthusiasm and commitment, as well as exciting growth plans in the region.
GA Telesis is already actively collaborating to strengthen aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean, bringing innovations and a visionary approach to address the challenges and opportunities. Together, we will explore how this partnership can transform the sector and contribute to safer, more efficient, and sustainable aviation. We invite you to read this conversation that goes beyond business, but initiatives that are changing lives in our region.
1. GA Telesis joined ALTA in July. What motivated you to join, and how has the experience been so far?
GA Telesis joined the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) in July 2024 to strengthen its presence and partnerships within the Latin American and Caribbean commercial aviation market. This strategic move aligns with the company’s vision to expand its footprint and deliver innovative solutions, through the GA Telesis Ecosystem ™, that meet the evolving needs of airlines in this dynamic and high-growth region.
Since becoming an affiliate member, GA Telesis immediately collaborated with ALTA to enhance the safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability of the aviation sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. Overall, the experience has been positive, with GA Telesis contributing its extensive expertise and resources to support the growth of regional airlines, with the intention of playing a pivotal role in the advancement of the airline industry in Latin America.
2. You participated in the ALTA AGM & Airline Leaders Forum. How was your experience and impression of the event?
The ALTA AGM & Airline Leaders Forum was a valuable experience for GA Telesis, bringing together the region’s airline leaders and stakeholders from across the aviation sector to address the industry's most pressing issues. The event facilitated meaningful discussions on topics ranging from sustainability to innovation, allowing for an exchange of insights into the challenges and opportunities we’re collectively facing. I found the sessions particularly engaging, with a strong focus on collaboration to drive progress in the Latin American and Caribbean aviation markets. It was inspiring to see such a committed group working towards the future of aviation, and I left with a sense of confidence and actionable ideas as it relates to our plans for expansion in LA&C.
3. GA Telesis made a major long-term commitment to the Girls with Goals scholarship program. What motivates you, and what is the company’s commitment in this regard?
GA Telesis is deeply committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within the aviation and aerospace industries. Our long-term commitment to the Girls with Goals scholarship program is driven by a desire to empower young women to pursue careers in the sectors, thereby addressing the very obvious gender imbalance in this field. By providing financial support with potential career opportunities, we aim to inspire and equip the next generation of female aviation professionals, ensuring a more inclusive and innovative future for the industry.
4. What are GA Telesis’ plans in the region?
GA Telesis intends to invest in the Latin American and Caribbean regions not only by establishing our first-ever footprint there but also by bringing in successful innovations that we introduced in other regions that can accelerate growth. Our commitment goes beyond expansion; it includes fostering new opportunities and adapting proven strategies to support sustainable advancement within these markets. This approach ensures we’re contributing to a robust and resilient aviation industry in the region, while enhancing connectivity, efficiency, and industry standards. Stay tuned – we are going to make some moves soon!
5. How do you see the industry in the coming years and the role of LAC in it?
GA Telesis anticipates significant growth in the commercial aviation industry over the coming years, with the Latin American and Caribbean regions playing a pivotal role in this expansion. The company recognizes the increasing demand for air travel in the region, driven by economic development and a growing middle class. To support and capitalize on this growth, GA Telesis is committed to investing in the region by establishing a local presence and introducing innovative solutions that have proven successful in other markets. This strategy aims to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability within the regional aviation sector, thereby contributing to its overall advancement and growth.
Thank you, Abdol, for this inspiring conversation. It is motivating to see the company’s commitment not only to growth in the region but also to driving positive changes that impact the entire industry. We are confident that this partnership will be essential for the future of aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean. Thank you for this valuable exchange and for trusting us as we work together to build a stronger, more innovative sector.
