ALTA NEWS - ALTA and Voepass take the ALTA CCMA & MRO 2024 conference to the heights

Brasilia, April 23, 2024 - With 60 years of history under its belt, the ALTA CCMA & MRO Conference will land in Rio de Janeiro from June 3 to 5, 2024. It is the largest and oldest gathering of executives from the technical, maintenance and purchasing areas of airlines and aviation suppliers in the region.

At this historic event, ALTA (Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association) and Voepass, one of Brazil's leading regional airlines, are announcing an unprecedented partnership: a promotional sticker for the conference will be displayed on the tail of one of Voepass' ATR/500 aircraft.

The partnership between ALTA and Voepass is a joint effort to boost the contribution of the airline industry in the country, and to reaffirm the mutual commitment to aircraft safety. In a sector where maintenance is a key word, Voepass stands out even more, with its own maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) center located in the Hangar sector of Leite Lopes Airport in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo. This MRO is a key element in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the company's fleet. The maintenance team is currently approved to carry out all the maintenance checks required for ATR aircraft, including the 36,000-cycle check, the most complex of this model, as well as all maintenance on ERJ-145 and EMB-120 Brasília aircraft.

"We are thrilled to join forces with ALTA to bring about this unprecedented initiative. The ALTA CCMA & MRO envelope on one of our aircraft highlights our continued commitment to the highest standards of safety and maintenance efficiency, while demonstrating our support for the aviation community in Latin America and the Caribbean," said Voepass CEO Eduardo Busch.

For José Ricardo Botelho, CEO of ALTA, this is a unique opportunity and shows the strength of the conferences held by the association. "ALTA always strives to promote the best forums for debating important issues for the sector, aiming for best practices and excellence in aviation. And this partnership perfectly exemplifies those shared values."

The ALTA CCMA & MRO sticker will be on display on one of Voepass' aircraft until the end of the event on June 5, on around 15 routes, providing a chance for passengers and aviation observers to witness this historic collaboration between the two industry organizations.
