"It is a true honor for ALTA to have developed this award, because journalists deserve an important recognition for their work. They play a sometimes invisible but essential role in providing us all with access to accurate and timely information that allows us to measure the impact of air transport on the lives of everyone, the immeasurable contribution that is generated in every locality every time an aircraft land. During the pandemic, their efforts were even more important, making known the contributions of the only means of transport capable of delivering vaccines, essential supplies and so much support. This is the first edition of many and we look forward to continuing to see high quality work that takes us to the heights," says José Ricardo Botelho, ALTA's Executive Director & CEO.
