In May 2026, international air cargo transported to, from and within Latin America and the Caribbean reached 343,966 metric tonnes, a 3.3% year-over-year increase compared with the same month in 2025. Brazil and Colombia accounted for most of the growth recorded during the month. Brazil posted its second-highest monthly international air cargo volume on record, while Colombia achieved its highest air cargo volume ever for the month of May. By contrast, Mexico recorded another decline, although it continues to post positive year-to-date growth.
