The ALTA Aviation Law Americas 2025 Conference brings together experts in Lima to debate innovation, regulation, and competitiveness
Lima, September 18, 2025 – The regulations shaping the aviation sector and emerging technologies will be at the core of the 17th ALTA Aviation Law Americas, to be held in Lima from September 17 to 19. Over three days, government authorities, law firms, and airlines will address the main legal, financial, technological, and political challenges directly impacting aviation, ranging from infrastructure and operations to the evolution of consumer relations.
“The ALTA Aviation Law is a key forum to discuss the regulatory frameworks that are transforming aviation in our region. In Lima, we will tackle topics such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, seeking solutions that balance innovation, competitiveness, and legal certainty. Key issues to be discussed include the “domino effect” of the collapse of critical suppliers and its legal and financial implications, as well as the challenges of artificial intelligence, ranging from predictive maintenance to pricing algorithms.
Labor relations and consumer protection will also be analyzed, aiming to balance passenger rights with the commercial flexibility of airlines.
The program features discussions on aviation insurance with parametric models, legal contradictions in air cargo due to regulatory divergences, and the growing risks of cyberattacks in a highly interconnected environment.

Johnny is a Public Accountant graduated from Santa Maria University in Caracas, Venezuela. He has over 30 years of experience in service and manufacturing companies in the Administration, Accounting and Finance areas, leading the implementation of administrative and financial systems and restructuring of the accounting department. In January 2009, he joined ALTA as head of Administration and Finance with the objective of preparing the financial statements and responsible for the external audit, updating internal procedures, controlling assets and coordinating IT services and maintenance, providing forecasting and financial reporting to drive current and long-term profitability.
Carolina is a lawyer, specialized in International Law and Business since 2007. She has worked at Citibank, Asobolsa (as Legal and Administrative Vice President), IATA (as Government Affairs Manager), and more recently has provided consulting services in personal and professional development.
