Econ. Andres Robalino

By training an economist, he has a strong academic background that includes a Master’s degree in International Negotiations, with a specialization in the European Market from Université Jean Moulin in Lyon, France; postgraduate diplomas in Customs Management from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar; and in Business Organization Management from the International Labour Organization (ILO). He has also received training in design thinking, international business, foreign trade, and investment, strengthening a comprehensive, competitiveness‑ and quality‑oriented approach to national industry.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has accumulated experience in both the public and private sectors, having held positions such as Undersecretary for Industrial Productivity at the Ministry of Industries and Productivity; Chief Negotiator of the trade agreement with the European Union; and Executive Director of the Chamber of Industries, Production and Employment (CIPEM). He also served as President of Corporación Formados and as an External Advisor to the international consulting firm Llorente y Cuenca, in addition to working as a university professor in International Economics and Foreign Trade, contributing a strong technical and strategic perspective to the country’s productive development.
With a strong focus on competitiveness, his management aims to implement policies oriented toward reducing production costs, benefiting artisans, entrepreneurs, micro, small, medium, and large enterprises, while promoting strategic partnerships and transforming the challenges of Ecuador’s industrial sector into opportunities for sustainable growth.
His commitment to industrial development strengthens the country’s capacity to address the challenges of the global market.
