Captain Daniel Bianco, Executive Vice President, SAM Region / IFALPA
Daniel Bianco is an Airbus A330 Captain at Aerolíneas Argentinas with 27 years of service and over 15,000 hours on the Boeing 737, MD-80, Airbus A340, and A330. Throughout his career, he has also been a simulator, ground school, and cabin crew instructor.
Beyond his flying duties, Captain Bianco has been actively engaged in pilot representation at both national, regional, and international levels. He is the Secretary of International Affairs at the Argentine Airline Pilots Association (APLA) and, since 2019, is the Executive Vice President for the South America Region at IFALPA, representing over 150,000 pilots worldwide. As with all IFALPA elected officers, his role is held on a voluntary basis.
In this capacity, he works closely with airline pilots and international organizations addressing operational, technical, and labour issues, leading initiatives on Fatigue Risk Management, Positive Safety Culture, Runway Safety, and Volcanic Ash.
He lives in Buenos Aires with his wife and his three kids.
