Alessandra Azevedo currently holds the position of Senior Legal Manager at Azul Airlines, focusing on corporate law and governance, IP, capital markets, restructurings, general agreements, and tax.

 She also has deep experience with mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions. Before joining Azul, Alessandra has served for 12 years as a corporate and M&A lawyer in some of the most reputable law firms in Brazil, representing foreign and domestic clients and listed companies in local and cross-border transactions, involving various segments of the economy.

He returned to ALTA after 12 years to coordinate the Aviation Fuel Committee, the Airport Charges area and the Environment Committee in the association, based in Miami, Florida.

With experience of more than 30 years in the industry, he has worked in the Civil Aviation Authority of Colombia on three different administrations where he served as Secretary of Operational Systems, Financial Director, and Manager of the Eldorado Airport Second Runway Project.

At the headquarters of ALTA (Latin American Air Transport Association) in Miami he served as Special Projects Manager for four years.

At the regional office of IATA (International Air Transport Association) in Miami, he served as Manager of User Charges for seven years.

He also worked as Controller and Country Sales Manager for American Airlines in Colombia for five years.

His passion is the history of commercial aviation and airports with emphasis in Colombia and Latin America.

Marcelo Mello is the Co-Founder, Co-Managing Partner and practice leader of Structured & Asset Finance at Nantes Mello Advogados, a boutique law firm focused on delivering tailored and exclusive legal advice to a select group of clients.
Marcelo focuses on providing strategic and transactional counseling to a wide range of clients in Aviation and Finance matters. Marcelo has represented airlines, lessors, manufacturers and financiers, across a whole spectrum of aviation and ship finance deals such as acquisition, sale, financing (including pre-delivery financing), operating leasing, tax-based leasing, Spanish tax operating leases, aircraft-backed debt and equity transactions, securitizations, and export credit transactions. Marcelo also has extensive experience in airline workouts and negotiating creditor support on pre-workout scenarios.
Before starting Nantes Mello Advogados, Marcelo has held Structured & Asset Finance lawyer positions in two top-tier law firms. From 2013 to 2016, Marcelo held positions in the investment banking industry at Deutsche Bank AG and Credit Suisse AG, in São Paulo and New York.
Marcelo has received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Catholic University of São Paulo.

Before joining Delta Air Lines, Humberto was an Associate at the international law firm, White & Case, and held senior positions at Aeromexico, Mexico’s flag carrier, Grupo Bimbo, the largest Mexican-owned baking company and one of the largest bakery companies in the world, and Instituto para la Protección al Ahorro Bancario (IPAB), Mexico’s deposit insurance entity. He is a graduate from Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico, and Northwestern University and Miami University in the United States of America, and is also licensed to practice law in Florida, New York, and Mexico.

Ricardo Fenelon Jr.
